Dr. Craig Leonardi, L, MD

Dr. Leonardi specializes in treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis and other dermatological diseases. He currently has a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at St. Louis University Medical School. He has over 30 years of experience in treating a broad spectrum of skin conditions.


Clinical Trials

Dr. Leonardi has extensive experience using new biologics in the treatment of psoriasis and has been involved in more than 200 clinical trials. He has been an invited speaker at national, regional, and state venues and serves on the advisory boards of several pharmaceutical companies. He has published more than 250 original articles and abstracts in such journals as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the British Journal of Dermatology, the Archives of Dermatology, the Journal of the American Medical Association, the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet.

Degrees

He received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida and completed an internship in pediatrics and residency in dermatology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His medical career has allowed him many opportunities to advance the treatment of psoriasis on a larger scale, but he remains passionate about bringing new, effective treatments to his patients.

Association

In March 2016, Dr. Leonardi was awarded a Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology for his dedication to dermatology research.

Patrick A. Behnke, RN, MSN, AGPCNP-BC

Patrick A. Behnke is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Missouri. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1994 and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Maryville University in 2016. He is currently practicing at Central Dermatology in St. Louis with Dr. Craig Leonardi, MD, where he has worked since 2010. Prior to completing his master’s degree, he served as the Lead Research Coordinator at Central Dermatology for six years. His professional interests include treating challenging dermatological disorders and acting as sub-investigator in clinical trials for various investigational medications. In addition, he is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International as a member of Omicron Iota, Maryville University. Patrick has a unique combination of skills and strives to provide the best health care possible and believes in building a long lasting and trusting relationship with patients. He seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs.
